15k, 1.5k, 60k? o_O - Guild Wars Forums

I dont know something... Well the 1.5k, 15k, 60k armor O_O i mean... there is for example a aeromancer's set armor ... and some ppl have 1.5k aero armor, other have 15k,... but what's the difference?

The 15k image will be updated in the future. But at the same point it will always be the same stats as the 1.5k.

ohh... mm ok, and umm... what stands for 1.5k and 15k..? gold? and umm... i've made it to lion arch now, but i want a diff look with an aeromancer's set... where can i get that?

You won't be able to get 15k armor until later in the game, when you past Kryta, the jungle, the desert, and you're in Southern Shiverpeaks.

But basically the difference is just looks. The 1.5k armor is armor that costs 1.5k gold a piece, and the 15k armor is armor that costs 15k gold each. People buy the 15k armor just for looks. 60k is just referring to the total cost of the 15k armor (except for warriors, it'd be 75k).

There's also Fissure armor too, which costs 15k per piece, but the materials needed for it are expensive.

edit: oh, heh, yeah, i forgot to mention that the Fissure/15k armor has the same stats as the regular 1.5k armor. it's all for looks.

And with the price of ecto now fissure armor would probally cost around 500k.

Mind you, that rank chart is only in looks - all those armors 1-6 are the same stats.

Try 1,000,000+ as the cost. Ectos even at 7K a piece (the low end of their price) you need 105 for the casters armor. Thats call it 750K right there. Then you need 105 obsidian shards. At say 4K a piece (average price) that is call it 420K. Combined that is 1,170,000 gold for just those 2 materials. Then you need all the regular materials (linen, cloth, steel, etc.) and then 60K to craft the armor. so call the total cost of FoW armor 1,300,000 gold. And mind you thats for the cheapest set. The Warriors is even more expensive. If you add in the 4-5 black dyes it's even higher.

with the price of ecto right now, fissure HELM alone is 200k for warriors.

I disagree with your chart. My W/Mo set up with 1.5k forge armor will own any of your fissure W/Mo, if only for the reason that fissure has really shitty armor choices.

I have 4 sets of fissure armor though. They really arn't worth the cost but I needed something to spend gold on.

Fissure armor is all of the choices that are in Droknors it's just that each set looks the same as all the other fissure sets but the give different bonuses.

Screw black dye, I use a purple-silver mix for my grotto armour. Yes, I could get black, but this is sexier. Plus ranger fissure armour looks like crap.
